"There is a crisis at hand that many Americans are rather unaware of, due to the minor media coverage. In Darfur - in Sudan - there is a literal genocide occurring. The brutal conditions of Darfur make living under Saddam Hussein's Iraq look like living in Disneyworld. Since 2003, over 450,000 people have died and there are over 2,000,000 people displaced from their homes. A general estimate of 50+% of families do not have enough food to feed themselves, and 22+% of children under five-years-old are suffering from extreme malnourishment and starvation. Rape victims are even facing a growing HIV epidemic. Sudanese President Bashir, Vice-President Taha, and Security Chief Gosh have not only instilled their brutal plan in Darfur, but have extended their reach into Chad and the Central African Republic. These are the true terrorists, not the religious fanatics we see in the Middle East. The American government is doing absolutely nothing to stop this. We continue to make deals with the Sudanese government, which they continually break. While the US government dons the facade of compassion in Iraq, they appease genocide in Africa! This cannot be allowed to continue! There are a number of private organizations that are currently coming to the aid of Darfur's citizens, and IMPERIL is playing a show to benefit one such organization. Please come out January 19th and support this urgent cause! Look here for more information on the benefit show."<br /><br />That is what I copied and pasted from Imperil's bulletin post. If you would like to help the cause please go to <a href="http://www.myspace.com/savedarfurbenefitshow">http://www.myspace.com/savedarfurbenefitshow</a> and look for information. No pressure on any of you guys and nothing stupid will happen to you if you do nothing or do not repost this. This is not one of those cliche "if you do not repost this you will die" crappy myspace bulletin posts. This is just for the people who would like to help others, and help make this world a better place even if the effect is on a microscopic scale.<br /><br />I would like to have a benefit show to benefit Darfur and other places like Darfur locally. If you can help me in any way or if you are a band and want to play a benefit show please message me. <br /><br />Later.<br /><br />~Shredder

Oh man, lets see. I hope everyone had a great Christmas Day and I hope you have a good New Year's Eve too. Christmas was good for me this year, I got some really cool stuff, like, new cymbals for my drumset, lots of clothes, candy, shoes, a new wallet and watch, and stuff like that. I've been working the whole break so I haven't gotten to go out much. Last night was awesome though, Jimmy, David, and Geoff came over and we were going to watch a movie. Then I got a distress signal from Kate on my cellular device and she was sending out an SOS because her and Laura were stranded at Wal-Mart without a ride. So Jimmy and I got in the car to go rescue them, but there ride was there when we got there, so they all just jumped in the car to go to my house. We stopped by the gas station to get a drink when we saw, what appeared to be, a hooker. That's right, some guy went up to her and retreived what seemed like small packages of condoms. We watched this transaction and realized that we were right. Then Kate decided to put our lives in danger by calling that guy a slut lol. So Jimmy broke out of the parking lot and down the street. We stopped by Lauras house to get her a jacket then to mine. We shot some fireworks at my house then Jimmy decided to leave with David and Geoff....I don't know why, it is still unexplained and I'm still investagating the case. So Kate, Laura, and myself got in the car with Jordan and two other girls....=( I forgot their names though, to go back to his house. We jumped on the trampoline for a while and and played dangerous games with too many people hahaha, then we started to drop everyone off. And that's about it, bah, I gotta leave for work now. Things are finally starting to look better again, for some reason I've been in a big mood slump for about 8 or 9 months lol. I don't have depression though haha. Tonight Josh and I hung and out and wrote a song or two. Then I took my mom's suv down to sonic and freaked Josh out. ( He's never experienced high speeds and loud heavy metal before lol ). We got to sonic and ordered to go because I was almost out of gas. On the way out these guys were flipping me off, but I didn't pay too much attention.
Well this weekend was great. Def. one of the better weekends I've had in a long time. Friday, after the christmas concert, Brent, Kate, Laura, Jimmy, and myself went to go see Aeon Flux. It was okay, but really farfetched, and we ended up just making fun of it the whole time. We ran into Tyler with his buds as well. After the movie we went and searched for a place to eat. We ended up at Whataburger and we went to Geoffro's house to eat it, but we actually just decided to pick up Geoff and go to Brent's. So we ate our food at Brent's house and everyone went home. Saturday I woke up and I went with Shannon and my little brother to the Mary C. O'keefe theater downtown. I watched my little brother there while Shannon did volunteer work and then Jimmy, Geoffro, and I went to the Simon Birch vs. show in vancleave, where I met up with Chris. The show was great, there was even a mosh pit and everything lol. Definetly going to the next one. Chris got knocked out in the pit though, and we thought he had a concussion but he turned out to be just fine. After the show Chris and I went back to my house and we just hung out there. Then Jimmy and Geoffro stopped by with the best of Christopher Walkins, so we watched that. Then later on we picked up David from his house, and ambushed Taylor, Reid, Brent, and Natalie at McAllisters. We followed Brent back to his house and wrestled him to the ground, then Brent came along for the ride, and we decided to go drop kick some snowmen. We decided to go back to my house and watch a movie, so that's what we did. Then I called Madonna and we went to go get her from her house. She was already outside waiting outside like a spy in her backyard. Then we all watched Labyrinth at my house. The End.

Well, today was pretty good, I think I did excellent on the geometry test I had today. So that sounds good to me. Been thinking about my future alot lately, and it's exciting to think about it. I have most of it planned out now and at the end of last year I didn't have a clue. My options are: Finish High School and attend JC for 1 year and then apply as a sophomore at USM - or - Get a scholarship to Perk, spend two years there, and then enter USM as a Junior. The first one is most likely the one I'm going to choose, unless other circumstances arise, and I can't think of any at the moment. I do know that I would like to major in music and/or a related field. I'd like to intruct or teach it, but who knows, time will tell. I applied at Sound Shop in the Gautier Mall tonight, that would be awesome to work in a cd shop, at least until I get me a job at Mississippi Music, Inc. or Pinkston, etc. I have to be 17 to work at either of those places, which my birthday is in 1 month and 18 days. So hopefully I'll get an interview soon and start making some money, which would be nice. Band christmas concert friday......don't come. The end.

Well, I kinda forgot to update over the weekend but that's okay. I ended up going to the game Friday because my neck got alot better and we actually won this time, which is good. Saturday Chris came down and Brent, Chris, and I practiced make up some riffs and songs. Saturday night we just chilled at Brent's and went to Burger King. At Burger King I noticed that Chris finished his 3 5pc. of chicken tenders extremely fast. Then I decided to time him with my watch. So he bought another box of chicken tenders and before i could even start my watch he shoved all 5 chicken tenders into his mouth, chewed, and swallowed. We couldn't stop laughing for like 10 minutes. Needless to say it was awesome. Then Sunday, I went over to Brent's at around 10:30 am, and we practiced till around 1:00pm, and then went to Hartz. At Hartz we saw a guy with a glass eye. However, Reid was just too chicken to ask him about it. So we left Hartz not knowing anything about how he got his glass eye. We went back to Brent's and practiced some more, before going to youth. So we went to youth and got some cool news. Wednesday there's going to be a christian relief concert at St. Paul youth campus. That should be really good, I just gotta try and get some people to come.<br /><br />In other news, I'm going to Mobile on the 26th to check out the local bands there. I think it's going to be Chris, Brent, Reid, and myself, but if anyone else wants to come I think we could find another car or squeeze in or something. Later.

Yeah, it's been a while since I've updated. Not much has been new lately, same old stuff in the same old town everyday. Going to state Friday for cross country, wish me luck. Tonight I'm driving a nice new Nissan Altima all the way to Gulfport to meet my dad and drop it off, it's pretty fast ^.^. So anyways, later.

The hurricane has come and gone. I really am speechless after seeing all the destruction first-hand. I feel really bad, I know some friends of mine that lost their entire house like Jese and Missy. I'm praying for you guys. We also need to pray for everyone helping clean up, saving people, and supplying food and water. It dosen't even feel like it's been a week since the hurricane hit. A week has gone by so fast.

    <lj:music>Slipknot - Before I Forget</lj:music>

So I haven't updated in a while but what's new? School has been the same old boring stuff, but I am looking forward to cross country this year. I ran 3 consecutive miles all under 6 minutes on thursday. We're going to do good as a team this year, I can tell. Last night I went to the movies with Emily, David W., Christine, and Chris W. We went to see March of the Penguins but it screwed up in the middle so we left and got another ticket instead to see Red Eye, which was a pretty good movie. Homecoming is really early this year, just adds to the constant pressure of doing perfect in school. I'll be glad when it passes to say the least. Brian's going to let us play Definetly Maybe tomorrow night at youth, we've practiced alot and I think we got it down pretty good. Today I gotta cut alot of grass, blugh. I really don't like it, but it's where my money comes from. After that I'm not sure what I'm doing today. I'm kinda tired, stayed up a bit too late. Call me on my cell, anyone, 235-4794. Later.
